Research & Advocacy

We work with government to improve its health programming and research capacity while advocating for high-impact policy changes such as patient centered directly observed therapy for tuberculosis.

 

2008

- Baseline survey of amputee and surrounding communities for demographics, health education level, health services, and economic indicators,

- Epidemiologic analysis of primary care pathologies,

- District-wide child health nutrition surveillance with UNICEF,

 

2009

- Dissemination of results at Baylor Research Symposium and Global Health Education Consortium National Conference,

- Summer interns conduct impact evaluations of health education and community-based nutrition programs,

- Ministry of Health collaborative agreement to pilot patient centered directly observed therapy for tuberculosis.
